Terms of Use
Last updated July 2, 2026. Using GridCraft means you agree to the terms below. They are short and reasonable.
License on the templates
Every SVG template on this site is released under Creative Commons Zero (CC0 1.0). That means you can download, print, modify, redistribute, embed in a paid product, or hand a copy to a student, with no requirement to credit GridCraft. Attribution is welcome but not required.
The CC0 release applies to the geometry of the grid and the SVG file itself. It does not extend to the GridCraft name, brand mark, written content (the standards explainers, the article-style pages, the historical notes), or the visual design of this website. Those remain copyright of GridCraft and are not licensed for redistribution.
No warranty
The templates are calibrated to the ISO and ANSI standards cited in each page, and they are generated deterministically from the same seed each time. We do everything we can to be accurate. That said, GridCraft is supplied "as is" with no warranty of any kind. If a printed sheet matters for a regulated drawing, a tendered construction document, or anything else where a small error would cost real money, verify the output with a ruler before you trust it. We are not liable for losses caused by a mis-printed template, a printer driver that silently scaled the page, or an error in the seeded geometry.
Acceptable use
You may use GridCraft for any purpose, personal or commercial. You may not scrape the site at a rate that affects availability for other readers, abuse the download endpoint to generate load, or attempt to bypass the security guards in the front controller. If you would like a bulk export of every template for offline use, write to us at the contact address and we will send a single zipped archive instead.
Third-party content
Where we cite ISO, ANSI, BS, or SMPTE standards, we summarise the relevant convention in our own words. The standards themselves are owned by the respective standards bodies and must be obtained from them. We do not host or redistribute the standards documents.
Changes to this site
GridCraft is an evolving catalogue. URLs are intended to be stable, but we reserve the right to add, retire, or reorganise pages. If a URL has to change, we will set a 301 redirect from the old path to the new one wherever practical.
Disputes
If you have a dispute with GridCraft, please write to us first using the contact page. Almost every issue we have ever received was resolved by a single email.
